Mold Filling Simulation, the tool.

MCS has been actively performing mold filling simulations since 1979, flow simulations ranging from surgical staples to rear panels for the Chevrolet Corvette:

MCS tailors its studies to meet the needs of its clients, some clients just want to know if a certain component will fill while others need to know if a certain gating will result in excessive warpage, MCS will work within your budgetary constraints without sacrificing on the quality of the work.

 

Product performance must always be considered when performing a flow simulation....

More so than with any other manufacturing process, the act of injection molding influences the molded articles short and long term performance.

MCS understands the link between manufacturing and product performance and has the experience and tools necessary to insure that your product will perform as designed. 

Quite often, failure of a plastic product has more than one contributing factor, see some examples within the Failure Analysis section of this site.

There is nothing terribly exciting about seeing some images of flow simulations, what is exciting is seeing the connection between the manufacturing process simulated with flow analysis and the performance of the product.  

In any case the following links will take you to see a few examples of flow simulation output, in each of these cases, the simulation output was not the end product of MCS services, what MCS delivers is the interpretation of the output generated by MCS including commentary and analysis regarding its affects on product performance.
