CAE Learning Center, Introduction

The FEA Best Practices Companion Reader started as a simple collection — a way to put the Learning Center audiobook content into print for people who prefer to read rather than listen, or who want a reference to return to after the audio is done. It became something a bit more than that.

Twenty-one chapters covering the full arc of finite element analysis practice: the analysis types you will encounter most often, the best-practice decisions that determine whether any simulation produces reliable results, and two chapters specific to the Analyzer itself — how it reconstructs part structure from raw INP files, and how it infers drop impact parameters when no one bothered to write them down. The introduction opens with something that has nothing to do with software: the argument that computer aided engineering is a direct expression of human nature — that we are, all of us, predictive machines built to poke at unknown systems and read the response. The reader is free. It will always be free.
